What is the DSS?

The Decision Support System is designed to help administrators, faculty and staff with data and information for

  • Program review reports
  • Campus and school planning projects
  • Grants proposals
  • Faculty and classified position requests
  • Scheduling of classes and
  • Proposals to either expand or contract current class offerings

The Decision Support System consists of three database modules. They are:

  1. Student Demands for Courses and Sections
  2. Enrollment Productivity
  3. Student Headcount and Characteristics
  4. Student Success

The Decision Support System offers two options for retrieving data:

  • From reports compiled by members of the Office of Research
  • From databases that can be easily queried by the user and that produce data tables which can be either printed or downloaded to a computer
